Walt Disney

Going through a box I purchased some time ago I came across this interesting postcard.

It's hard to see but written in pencil in the upper left on the back is "Disney Family 1951"

What really makes this find interesting is in the plastic sleeve with the card was a small piece of paper with information about the Disney family.

An interesting and yet slightly odd postcard. It looks cool, an image I've never seen before, but what a intriguing choice to be used for a postcard. Walt looks like he's relaxed and on vacation; in fact it seems like a family vacation shot. Is this an actual postcard that would have been purchased in a store? Nice find.

Neat! I'll bet Michael Barrier would dig this photo, and maybe could even tell you exactly which vacation this is. (michaelbarrier.com/)
